Project Identity
World and Sound
Velvet Orchard is one of Pawn Island Records' most experimental pop-facing projects. It began in a bright bubblegum Y2K-pop lane, then expanded into a broader electronic world shaped by EDM, house, dubstep, bass music, club energy, and festival-inspired electronica.
That evolution is central to the project. Velvet Orchard should not be described as a static synth-pop identity. Its defining quality is restless experimentation: a willingness to move from candy-colored pop surfaces into heavier drops, club structures, dance-floor release, and large-scale electronic atmosphere.
Velvet Orchard is best framed as electronic pop through experimentation: melodic, dance-driven, emotionally charged, and increasingly shaped by the scale and force of modern EDM and festival culture.
